The human brain classifies and sorts information in two
categories through the intermediary of the hippocampus, a sort
of Grand Central Station of the mind. Each and every person,
animal, object, place and sign that you will encounter during the
course of your life will pass through its doors.
Some of these will be lucky enough to be permitted to rise to
the grand and stately offices of the long term memory, and the
others will be shuffledout through the back door of the active
memory.
Associated with the hippocampus, the cognitive memory
permits a visualization of these objects so well that all of us,
at one time or another, have been able to let in to our mind
the image of a pin, a dressing table, an elephant, etc.
But what happens when the dimensions of the object
are too large, when size goes beyond all reason...
